Next month the Hexatronic submarine cable team will embark on a journey to Bangkok, Thailand, to participate in SubOptic 2023, taking place 13-16 March.
Established in 1986, SubOptic is a non-profit association active in the international undersea communications industry and is best known for the triennial conference it organizes. Anders Ljung, Tobias Borg, and Christian Priess from our team at Hexatronic will join other members of the submarine cable community for this very special global summit. The conference has historically been held in places as diverse as Kyoto, Paris, Dubai, and New Orleans.
Subsea community networking
At SubOptic, our team welcomes you to our booth no. C19 and looks forward to fruitful discussions on submarine cable solutions with our customers, partners, and fellow suppliers.
We also look forward to meeting industry colleagues and discussing unrepeatered solutions during the round table session "Passive solutions for the Petabit world – the place of unrepeatered designs in today's subsea market" on Thursday 16th.
SubOptic stands out as the only such event organized by the industry itself, with the Association maintaining that the conference truly remains "For the industry – by the industry." Hexatronic first became a member of SubOptic, as Ericsson, in the mid-90s and has participated in events ever since. The Association's core values of openness, transparency, in being inclusive, independent, fostering diversity and building communities very much align with our own.
An agenda for everyone
The conference revolves around a series of masterclasses, papers sessions, and panels covering topics such as marine, optical networks, wet technology (i.e., submarine cables), regulatory and commercial & funding.
With such a broad agenda, the event attracts companies and individuals from all parts of the subsea community and is always educational and topical in equal measure.
