Job description

As an Associate Product Manager, you will work closely with our Product Management and Engineering teams to deliver market leading products and solutions to the global optical telecoms market.

Being an entry level role to the business, previous telecoms knowledge is a bonus rather than a key requirement. This position offers the ability to learn on the job and gain a sound foundation in product lifecycle management including Engineering Change Management, New Product Introductions, Applications Engineering, Product Design and Business Case creation.

Joining a team of talented, knowledgeable Engineers and Product Managers, your key responsibilities will be to assist in all aspects of Product Lifecycle Management, with scope to transition to a full Product Manager role in the future.

Attitude and aptitude are more important than industry knowledge for this role, so if you are can-do individual with an engineering interest and want to get hands on, send in your CV for consideration.

Responsibilities

General support to the Product Management and Engineering Teams, to include:

• Assisting with technical documentation
• Building and evaluating prototype products
• Assisting with Project Briefs and Commercial Justifications
• Assisting with Engineering Change Management
• Project reporting including Key Performance Indicators
• Programme management
• Assisting with Document Control
• Assisting with Process Management

Your profile

• Ideally educated to degree standard (Engineering or Commercial)
• Must be PC literate (MS Office)
• Able to work from engineering drawings and technical data
• Skilled in written and oral communication
• Able to prioritise and manage multiple workstreams
• Positive attitude with the ability to work alone or as part of a larger team
