Introducing Hexatronic’s Discreet Cabling System
Discreet MDU Cabling System
As people move away from traditional ‘star-wired’ MDU deployments, with customer drops presented on the external facade of the building, the Hexatronic Discreet Cabling System has been developed in favour of a completely internal, unobtrusive cabling method. Previously, customer drops would be left coiled outside the customer premises and would require drilling and taking through the wall when service was taken up. An internal deployment both saves on costs and installation time and reduces the risk to installers and the public from working and drilling at height.
In order to please discerning building owners and residents, the Hexatronic Discreet Cabling System has also been designed with appearance in mind. Ultra bend-resistant G657B3 fiber spans out from specially designed riser boxes on each floor to connect all premises with a single slimline cable. Point of Entry boxes installed flush, to the ceiling provide a location outside each dwelling to drop one fiber off from the cable and splice onto a pigtail ready for customer connection.
