LightMate Optical Splitter Panels

Optical Splitters 19" Rackmount Enclosures

Pre-assembled PLC splitters in LightMates 19” 1U ODF (model fixed) with SC/APC or LC/APC.

The splitter is the key component of the PON network. In it, an incoming fiber is divided into several outgoing ones. In this way, you can replace active equipment in the network with passive ones and thus get a cheaper network to both build and maintain.

The splitting of the light signal in a PLC splitter takes place 50/50. The same PLC chip can contain several split stages. Pre-assembled in ODF, up to 32 splits can be accommodated with SC/APC and up to 64 with LC/APC.

Alternatively, several individual splitters with a lower split ratio.

The attenuation becomes large in a PON network and the attenuation budget is thus more in focus.

These splitters are of premium class with as little extra damping as possible.

To the splitter's internal attenuation according to the specification, a contact attenuation of max. 0.2dB against the master for each contact is added.

These splitters work in the 1260-1650nm range.

Optical Rackmount Splitters are widely used in passive optical networks including GPON, NGPON and XGSPON. They take the signal on an input fiber and equally split it over multiple output fibers. 16 and 32 way split models are typically used in centralised distribution models, where the 2, 4 and 8 way units are typically used in distributed split networks.

These prepopulated rackmount chassis contain optical splitters with an even split ratio. The contained splitters utilise PLC technology to provide accurate, consistent, low cost and compact design.
