The cable is a fiber optic drop cable for indoor FTTx applications. The drop cable is primarily intended for direct installation, i.e. installation with staples or clips or routing inside cable raceways and mouldings. This installation technique puts extra tough requirements on the cables in terms of bend performance, crush resistance and other mechanical parameters.
The drop cable has extremely good bend performance due to the G657.A2 fiber and the inbuilt bend restriction of the cable design. The cable will by itself control the minimum bend radius and permit kinking.
The drop cable is available with 1, 2 or 4 tight coated fibers.
The tight coated fibers allow easy splicing or connector assembly. Aramide yarns around the fibers guarantee the tensile performance. The sheath is made of flame-retardant fire resistant material.
