Warning Net

Warning nets are used when installing ducts or optical cables. The net is normally placed approx. 30 cm above the duct system in the trench. An integrated tracer wire of high grade stainless steel is used to trace the dust system.

Each delivery length of 500 m is packed with three snap-fit wire connectors. A warning text is printed on the net (Swedish). For other languages, contact Hexatronic.

The warning nets are available in two versions, both in 100mm width:

• Green for general installations of optical cables or low current cables.
• Orange for installation of telecom cables in general and optical cables

Hexatronic´s warning nets are equipped with a search wire made of acid-resistant stainless steel with an insulating polypropylene layer to avoid corrosion. The diameter of the search wire is 0.8 mm, which reduces the risk of cutting the wire during installation.

The nets are made of polypropylene and in such a way that the molecular structure of the plastic makes it tough to break. Instead of being cut and hidden in the ground, the strong net is lifted up by an excavator and gives a clear indication that there is a cable installation underneath. The hole pattern in the warning net also helps the net to get tangled up in the excavator.

The warning nets are delivered in rolls of 500m. Attached to each reel are three splice sets to connect the search wire.
